Day 1 – Explore Arabian Heritage

Step 1 – Afternoon Pickup From Dubai

Your retreat begins with a shared air-conditioned transfer from your hotel in Dubai. Pickup normally takes place between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM, depending on the season. The final collection time is communicated on the day of the experience.

Step 2 – Discover the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve

Arrive at the protected reserve and receive traditional headwear and a reusable stainless-steel water bottle.

Travel through the desert on a nature-focused safari lasting approximately 60 minutes, with a vintage Land Rover or designated camel option. The journey provides an opportunity to observe desert vegetation, natural habitats and wildlife.

Step 3 – Watch Falconry Against the Sunset

Pause in the desert for a falconry display showcasing the traditional relationship between these birds and the people of Arabia.

Learn about the historical importance of falconry while watching the demonstration against the changing colours of the desert.

Step 4 – Experience Traditional Bedouin Hospitality

Continue to a torch-lit camp inspired by Bedouin customs. Receive a welcome with Arabic coffee and dates. Discover traditional breadmaking, observe coffee preparation and participate in available cultural activities, including camel riding.

Step 5 – Enjoy a Four-Course Arabian Dinner

Spend the evening enjoying a traditional four-course dinner featuring regional dishes and locally inspired flavours.

The dining experience brings together traditional recipes, desert hospitality and a relaxed camp setting. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dietary requirements can be accommodated when communicated during booking.

Step 6 – Discover Emirati Cultural Performances

After dinner, enjoy interactive cultural entertainment featuring traditional drumming and Yola.

The performances offer insight into Emirati customs through music, movement and audience participation.

Step 7 – Discover the Desert Night Sky

After the cultural performances, join a guided astronomy experience beneath the Arabian night sky. Learn about the constellations that Bedouin travellers used to navigate the desert and explore the connection between astronomy and regional heritage.

Step 8 – Spend the Night in a Stone-Dwelling Room

After the evening activities, retire to your traditional stone-dwelling room at the desert camp. Each room includes a bed and comfortable bedding, providing a peaceful place to rest before the early-morning balloon flight.

Enjoy the quiet desert surroundings before beginning the next day’s experience.

Day 2 – Discover the Desert From Above

Step 9 – Prepare for the Sunrise Balloon Flight

Wake before sunrise and travel to the hot-air-balloon launch location. Watch the preparation and inflation process before boarding the balloon for the morning flight.

Step 10 – Fly Above the Arabian Desert

Enjoy approximately 45–60 minutes in the air as daylight spreads across the desert.

The flight includes a falcon experience alongside the balloon and storytelling connected with the traditions of the region.

Flight operation and duration depend on weather and aviation safety conditions.

Step 11 – Enjoy Gourmet Breakfast Beside a Desert Oasis

Following the flight, travel to a secluded desert oasis on Royal Desert Property.

Settle into the breakfast area and enjoy a gourmet meal inspired by the four natural elements: air, water, earth and fire.

The experience concludes your retreat with a peaceful morning dining experience away from Dubai’s urban surroundings.

Step 12 – Return to Dubai

After breakfast, begin your return journey to the city.

Arrival is generally expected between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM, depending on the final operating schedule and traffic conditions.

The Heritage Cultural Retreat combines an evening of Arabian traditions with an early-morning aerial experience. Rather than separating these activities into individual bookings, guests experience them as part of one overnight journey.

• Pickup Time: Hotel pickups generally take place between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM.

• Transfers: Shared transfers are available from eligible Dubai hotels. Guests staying at private residences may need to use a designated hotel pickup point.
• Private Transfers: Private transportation must be arranged and confirmed separately.
• Accommodation: Overnight accommodation is provided in traditional stone-dwelling rooms with beds and bedding.
• Camp Facilities: Rooms do not have air-conditioning or heating. Shared bathrooms are available, but showers are not provided.
• Electricity: Camp electricity is switched off between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
• Room Allocation: Accommodation arrangements depend on the confirmed booking.
• What to Wear: Choose comfortable clothing and footwear. Carry a warm layer for the cooler desert evening and early morning.

• Child Age Policy: Children aged 7–11 qualify for child tickets. Children under 7 cannot participate in the hot-air-balloon flight.
• Pregnancy Considerations: The nature drive is not recommended for guests who are more than six months pregnant.
